Annalee's Story
My Story
Like so many others out there, my trauma began at an early age. I was 5 yrs. old and that trauma came in the form of sexual abuse that went on for a year and a half.

That experience set in motion a pattern of self-destructive behavior that would follow me throughout most of my life. I struggled with addiction, anxiety, depression, and low self-worth. In my early 20’s I was sexually assaulted twice, which only added fuel to the fire that was already consuming my life.

I felt broken.

I was full of anger, resentment, and pain that I tried desperately to hide behind a good sense of humor. No matter how hard I tried to heal what was broken in me and change my life for the better, I was consistently met with failure. I was stuck in a never-ending cycle of struggle and disappointment.

The turning point came when my mother was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Watching her suffer the way she did was an extremely traumatic experience that unfortunately too many can relate to.

As horrible and traumatic as that experience was, it was also a huge wake up call for me. It made me realize how truly precious life is. I began pursuing my healing with a new found strength I had never felt before.

HOW THE ARCS PROGRAM CHANGED MY LIFE

Through understanding the addiction cycle and how it can be applied to so many unhealthy behavior patterns we find ourselves stuck in and through addressing my childhood trauma through inner child work, I was finally able to get past that wall I'd been hitting for so long.

I learned to let go of those false beliefs I've carried since childhood. I've learned to love and care for myself in a way I never knew how to do before.

The ARCS program has been a huge step in my healing journey. It's also helped me find purpose in life through helping others on their own healing journeys.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT IN MY CLASSROOM?
My approach to coaching/ teaching is motivated by a genuine care for the human experience and the belief that through feeling and awareness, each person has the ability to take control of their life and overall well-being.

I look forward to the opportunity to support you in learning to love all the unloved parts of yourself, help you recognize your strengths and transform emotional wounds.

You can expect my classroom to be a place where you can freely express yourself with no fear of criticism or judgment. Through the power of unconditional love, acceptance, and compassion, we will embark on a journey of empowerment and awakening so that you can find your healing and help others do the same!
